It’s easy and safe! Before setting off on your first boating adventure with Chania Boats Rental, we provide a short training session to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Our Boats
At Chania Boats Rental, we offer boats for every skill level:
• No license required:
Olympic 490cc (5 meters), fiberglass , powered by a Yamaha 30hp outboard engine.
• License required:
Olympic 520cc (5.5 meters), fiberglass construction, powered by a Yamaha 100hp outboard engine.
• For experienced skippers with a license:
Mostro Family (8 meters), powered by a 200hp outboard engine.
All our boats are equipped with GPS navigation, allowing you to follow pre-set routes or create your own while complying with nautical regulations.
Safety & Comfort
There’s nothing to worry about!
All our boats are fully equipped with legal documentation and life-saving equipment. Plus, each boat includes a spare 4-6-15hp outboard engine, ensuring a safe return to the nearest port if needed.
Simply turn on the radio or Bluetooth device, sit back, and immerse yourself in the stunning shades of blue that will leave you in awe!
Private Cruises
For a private boat tour, we offer:
• Olympic 520cc (5.5 meters) with a 100hp engine.
• Mostro Family (8 meters) with a Mercury Verado V6 200hp, accommodating up to 9 people.
• Olympic 900 Hermes (9.5 meters) with twin Mercury Verado V8 engines, totaling 500hp, accommodating up to 7 people.
With an experienced skipper, you don’t have to worry about maritime regulations, docking spots, or unexpected weather changes—just relax and enjoy an incredible day at sea!

Very easy to find at the port. I can’t remember the name of the Gentleman who was there but he was absolutely fantastic! Gave us a full briefing, loaded with useful tips, information and safety related rules for the sea. He showed us everything with the boat and how to operate it and after a quick driving lesson we were on our way!
We had a fantastic day around Chania and Theodorou Island. We dropped anchor and jumped off the boat into the sea and went snorkelling! Cruised around the bay on the green routes provided and also anchored up at Kalathas Beach.
The Garmin GPS system on the boat told us exactly where we were, how fast we were going and how deep the water was which great!
We took a big bag of ice, plenty of drinks and food. The ice lasted the day in the cool box provided keeping everything nice and cool.
Fuel paid in cash on return was within their rough estimate for the fuel cost on the day.
Overall fantastic and will return in the future! 😄
